Scissor Lift+ Boom Lift Training in Ontario | CSA-Compliant Certification & Work
Service Description
Aerial work platforms, including scissor lifts and boom lifts, provide safe access to elevated work areas across construction, maintenance, warehousing, utilities, and industrial environments. While these machines are designed to improve efficiency and reduce the risks associated with ladders and scaffolding, improper operation can result in serious workplace incidents. Operators must understand equipment capabilities, hazard recognition, fall protection requirements, and safe operating procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Our Scissor Lift & Boom Lift Operator Safety Training provides hands-on instruction and practical evaluation to help build operator confidence, reduce workplace hazards, and support workplace safety compliance. This training program focuses on the safe operation of electric and rough-terrain scissor lifts, as well as articulating and telescopic boom lifts. Training includes pre-operational inspections, equipment controls, machine stability, safe travel, elevated work practices, hazard identification, fall protection requirements, emergency procedures, and safe operating techniques. Our aerial lift operator training includes both a classroom theory component and a practical competency evaluation to help ensure operators have the knowledge and skills required to safely operate both types of aerial work platforms. This training can support employers in meeting their obligations under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), as well as applicable CSA standards and manufacturer-recommended safe operating practices. Upon successful completion of the training and evaluation, participants will receive an Operator Certificate for both scissor lift and boom lift operation the same day. Employers remain responsible for ensuring operators are trained and competent on the specific equipment and workplace conditions in which they will be working. We offer flexible training at our facility in Stoney Creek and can accommodate individuals or large groups, including full staff training. For added convenience, we also provide on-site group training at your facility—often the most cost-effective and time-efficient option for employers.
